This All Levels class caters especially to those who have limited flexibility, range of motion and mobility, and/or anyone suffering from or recovering from trauma, illness or injury. In this class we focus on very simple poses to gently stretch and strengthen the legs, hips, back, core and shoulders. Emphasis is given to the basic alignment and modifications of all poses.
This All Levels class typically involves only a few poses, often times supported by props that allow you to completely relax and rest. Held for 3-5 minutes or more, Restorative Yoga poses include lights twists, seated forward folds, and gentle back, belly and shoulder stretches.
This All Levels class is uniquely designed for all stages of pregnancy in an empowering way, by providing emotional and physical support as you move through a profound transformation, and to help you become more resilient during and after childbirth. With an emphasis on breathing, stamina, pelvic floor work, hips, legs, and core strength this class provides you with the tools you’ll need as your body experiences changes during gestation, labor, and after your 4-8 weeks of recovery - starting your practice once again. Partners are also welcome and encouraged to participate!
This is an All Levels class based on the principles and practices of Anusara Yoga. Anusara yoga is an infusion of heart and life-affirming themes, physical alignment, anatomy, philosophy and skillful sequencing. Students can safely explore alignments that honor the intrinsic goodness within, and learn to express that connection from the inside out.
SKY STYX YOGA
This All Levels class offer a “movement methodology” that enables better mobility and range of motion for people of all walks of life. By using Sky Styx we can develop the strength, flexibility, balance, and endurance that makes movement not only achievable, but also delightfully fun.
Our basic All Levels Tai' Chi class begins with cleansing breath work and a few minutes of Qigong to allow access to higher realms of awareness, helping to develop human potential. From there students will move into the Tai' Chi warm-up to open up circulation and release chi (energy) throughout the mind, body, and spirit using various joint rotations and muscle stretching exercises, to include the Eight Silken Movements "Baduanjin Qigong". Affer completion of warm-ups, students are then led to their first routine "Old Frame", the original routine from which all routines are derived from.
This All Levels class offers emotional steadiness and harmony, as well as personal transformation. Guided meditation relaxes the entire brain, including the amygdala, which is the emotional center of the brain. When you meditate, you enter a space of internal expansiveness, calm and joy, which has an effect on our interactions with others and the world around us. Meditation can bring about a true personall transformation from the inside out. And as you experience your inner storehouse of peace and security, you will natually begin to discover aspects of yourself that were previously hidden due to stress. Please bring a blanket, pillow and/or meditation cushion with you to class.
This is a Beginner Level class for students who are new to yoga, haven't practiced in awhile, or that do not practice regularly. This class focuses on poses to stretch and strengthen the legs, back, core and shoulders. Emphasis is given to alignment and fundamentals of all basic yoga poses. This class includes pose modifications to accomodate different levels of flexibility, and longer breath counts between poses to allow plenty of time to transition correctly and safely into each pose.
SLOW FLOW HATHA
This Introduction to Intermediate Level class that is designed to slow down your flow, which can be extremely rewarding since it allows you to become more aware of your body and your breath as you take your time with transitions and hold poses for longer periods of time. Participants will be able to fully let go and be able to explore a deeper practice and experience much greater benefits within each pose.
This is a Intermediate Level class that provides the student with the underlying basics of how a vinyasa practice works, while incorporating the more familiar components of a Hatha practice. Vinyasa is a method of practicing asana (physical poses), where the asanas are presented in a sequence, flowing from one pose to the next. The practice focuses on aligning one's breath wih movement. Hatha Flow classes provide students an opportunity to refine their skills through a more deeper exploration of the asanas presented and how they can flow together seamlessly by means of steady paced breathing.
This Intermediate Level style of yoga is sometimes also called flow yoga, because of the smooth way that the poses run together and become like a dance. The breath becomes an important component as you move from one pose to the next on an inhale or an exhale, and offers much diversity to the practitioner. Due to the nature of this faster moving style class, it is recommended that you are familiar with the basic fundamentals of a yoga and have a consistent yoga practice before participating, as poses in this class will be much more challenging.
This Introduction to Advanced Level class is designed for those who have a consistent yoga practice and enjoy a strength building and challenging yoga practice. Its recommended you have a good understanding of poses and have steadiness and ease of movement while transitioning through them. These classes are challenging, rigorous, energy focused, detoxifying and empowering.
CORE POWER FLOW
This Introduction to Advanced Level class will fire up your core strength while flowing through a sequence of poses designed for the more experienced to advanced yogi. Each class will include abdominal work 30 minutes before you begin your practice, followed by 30 minutes of challenging core-infused yoga, allowing your body to stretch deeper, and release and eliminate harmful toxins.
